Hur använder du dig av det fotografiska mediet?
There’s actually no rules or limits. I choose the technic or approach that fits the subject best. Most of the time it’s digital especially for the commercial jobs. For own work I use analog and digital systems.
På vilket sätt har den tekniska utvecklingen inom mediet påverkat dig och ditt sätt att arbeta?
I’m more and more able to produce and process the pictures from beginning to end even when it comes to moving picture (film/video). This is expanding my photographic work field and knolledge permanently with all it’s advantages and negative aspects. Sometimes the photography itself falls a bit behind. Finding the right balance is a big issue for me.
Hur tror du det fotografiska mediet kommer att utvecklas? Hur ser du på din framtid som fotograf?
I think photography is a very unique and individual thing both for the viewer and photographer and that’s a fact that lasts even if technical aspects develop more and rapidly. I try to capture moments and spaces that are unique and transport a feeling that evokes something in the people and hope they like it. The better I manage this the brighter my future I guess.
Arkiverar du bilder? Gör du något annat för att dina fotografier ska bevaras till eftervärlden?
I store digital pictures on external harddrives with one or two back-ups. I save negativ and dias in acid free folders and do scans and prints of selections. I like to print and see the pictures in big formats. Probably I should exhibit more often but am too lame at self marketing in that field.
Vad är fotografi för dig?
A beautiful way of capturing and experiencing fading and unique moments. Makes me happy. Can’t get enough of it.
