Johan Willner works with both documentary and staged photography. The common topic of his images is a self reflective search of identity.

In the present serie "Boy Stories", Johan uses the passed moment as a starting point, reconstructing the images of the past.

The project is an ivenstigation of the childhood memory in the presence just as well as it is a description of life in the past. The reconstruction highlights the decisive moment or a trace of a larger context.

Johan Willner has a MFA in fine Art, Konstfack Stockholm 2006 and has also attended International Centre of Photography (ICP), New York 1995/96.
